During President Weiner’s tenure, Menlo College has achieved remarkable growth and recognition: raised more than $28 million to construct John Arrillaga Hall, a state-of-the-art, 288-bed residential facility on campus; secured a $2.5 million gift to establish a Public Speaking Center, advancing students’ communication and leadership skills; recognized by the U.S. government as both a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI); and transitioned athletics from the NAIA to NCAA Division II, following an era of exceptional success that included four national championships.

In recent years, Menlo earned numerous national and global rankings, including: Top 8% of all U.S. colleges – Forbes, #45 globally for alumni in executive roles at the world’s largest companies – World University Rankings, Top 8% ROI for low-income students – Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce, #17 most diverse college in America – Niche, #1 best California college for earning potential 10 years post-graduation – Zippia, and “Best in the West” for 14 consecutive years – The Princeton Review.

External reviewers have commended Menlo College for its strong focus on justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as its innovative and high-touch student success initiatives that reflect a deep commitment to student growth and belonging.

Under President Weiner’s leadership, the Board of Trustees has expanded to include 16 distinguished leaders—many from Silicon Valley industries—strengthening the College’s ties to its dynamic regional ecosystem. Looking ahead, Menlo College will soon launch its Centennial Campaign to celebrate 100 years of innovation and impact since its founding in 1927.
